Issue 001: Volume Is Not Value
Why true signal is found in what you cut, not what you keep.
The idea
We often confuse volume with value, treating a crowded database as proof of knowledge.
But a complex system often just masks a lack of clarity.
True signal isn’t found in how much you capture, but in how much you are willing to cut.
Try this
The Constraint Method.
To prove the point, I am applying a strict constraint to this newsletter moving forward:
The 1-1-1 Format (under 400 words).
You can use the same constraint in your notes today:
- Select one input. (A single article or chapter).
- Set a constraint. Refuse to summarize the whole thing.
- Write one note. Force the main concept into three sentences max.
If you cannot write it briefly, you do not understand it deeply.
Constraints force clarity.
