Build Your Knowledge Base, One Day at a Time
Hi ,
Does your PKM system feel like a chore sometimes? You’re not alone. Complex systems often create friction—and friction leads to procrastination. What if I told you that with just 5 minutes a day, you could keep your PKM humming and unlock a more organized mind?
Here’s the secret: simplicity is sustainable. I’ve designed a quick and effective daily routine that keeps your knowledge base fresh without overwhelming your schedule.
The 5-Minute Daily PKM Routine:
- Capture (1 min): Jot down any ideas, insights, or tasks from the day. Use your PKM inbox (Notion, Evernote, or even a simple text file).
- Review (2 min): Look at your “inbox” notes from yesterday. Sort them into their respective folders or link them to relevant projects.
- Link (1 min): Connect today’s new notes to existing ones. For example, link an idea about habit formation to a resource note on Atomic Habits. Why? Because linking notes isn’t just tidying—it’s how you create unexpected connections and spark fresh insights.
- Plan (1 min): Write down one actionable step for tomorrow, using your insights.
That’s it! No fuss. No marathon organizing sessions. Just 5 minutes to declutter your mind and prepare for a productive tomorrow.
Your Actionable Tip:
I’ve created a simple checklist template in Notion to help you implement this routine. It’s pre-designed to guide you through the four steps each day.
